Merit Badge Counselors needed

Posted by nsouza on Nov 24 2020 - 7:02pm

Parents, we could use some additional merit badge counselors for the scouts in our troop. You don't need any special expertise, just an interest and basic knowledge of the merit badge. You'll also need to fill out some paperwork and take some online training, but that only helps you know what you're doing! Attached is a list of merit badges that have no counselor in our troop. If any of these appeal to you, and you'd like to help us out, please contact Nancy Souza at nancysuesouza@gmail.com.

Parent meeting slides & info

Posted by nsouza on Sep 27 2019 - 9:17am

Parents, for those who weren't able to make the parent meeting at the Court of Honor last Wed, the presentation slides are attached.

1) We need each Registered Adult to take the online training for Troop Committee Training in order to recharter you next month. Please go to my.scouting.org to take it by Oct 1, then send Nancy Souza your final certificate that says Completed. This is NOT Youth Protection Training (YPT), which you took last year before you could register. This is the training for a committee member, which is what all registered adults in our troop are, unless you are an Assistant Scout Master. The good news is that this training only needs to be taken once - you don't have to repeat it.
